  1. Biden comments - never heard him say that before. He might as well have just said we have another 9.11 in store for you and our stage puppet president will save you so you better be thankful ...

  2. Time to start studying for the HAM test. Might be the only way we'll be able to have honest communication after a while.

  3. The internet is too exposing to the government. It was only a matter of time before they felt they could not allow such open and frank discussions such as blogs, message boards, groups, sites of all flavors.
True, you have the whole array: Honest Bloggers, authors of articles, alternative news sources, the mild, the average, and even the wack-outs. I am sure it will happen slowly, not anything to rise up about at first. You will then begin to discover that "some" sites and blogs are no longer available. Some news sites are either difficult to access, or plain "not there" anymore. I actually don't see how it has held up as long as it has. There is a lot of sources of information on the web, and some that are designed to be "disinformation". We Americans have taken the World Wide Web for granted, and if it loses it value, we will all be the worse off for that, indeed. Time will tell, as always.

  4. I predict if they shut down the internet or important parts of it, you will see an absolute explosion of grafitti as the people turn to using any flat surface available as a means of getting their view point across.

  6. It will be registered, licensed service. A privilege, not a right. Controlled, edited.

People have a once in a lifetime opportunity for truth right now via a source that isn't 100% controlled by the elite corp bankers like TV and radio. It won't last.

  7. The internet will also be personalized. You will make a post, and if you check, it will look like you'd expect. However, no-one else will see it.

This exact thing happened to an OilDrum regular who replied to a horrid article by M. Lynch in the NYT. The reply was visible with Firefox, but not Safari.

  8. Oh my lord it must have been a Safari Conspiracy. I bet Obama filtered it out himself. More evidence that the New World Order will eat your children.
