ReplyDeleteSome of these companies have ghouls for shareholders who WILL NOT settle for less that a million percent profit. Sears, Rareback, and Punt is one of them. I know as I put in 15 wasted hard working and gettting screwed years with them. Those people would sell you the liver from their grandmother and at 10% off if you have their credit card. In my day, in home appliances at Sears, we had five commissioned salesmen. The policy was to automatically FIRE the lowest producer each quarter! That kept everyone looking over his/her shoulder! Another time, a salesman was hired from Singer Sewing Machine. The first week that salesman sold more machines than in the history of the store ever! Monday morning he was flat fired. Reason? He sold the advertised machine and did not trade them up to the Lady Kenmore. This is (or sure used to be) a real cutthroat company. Let em go!!!
ReplyDeleteI used to work at Sears and I never really liked the company. Pure corporate business mindset through and through. Despite wanting to be known as America's home brand. everyone was a cog in the machine and even the hierarchy of workers had codes for names. Maybe it let the company run efficiently for such a big machine, but it was never anything more than a glorified Wal-Mart that was mostly overpriced.
ReplyDeleteBecause everything that Walmart sells is cheap crap. That's the problem with America, they dont know difference between quality and quantity. Who else would buy all these loans as AAA rated investments? Nobody. Thanks America.
