Calculated Risk has updated his chart showing job losses as a percent of peak employment since WW2. Needless to say, it's not encouraging.
The last time employment fell this much, in 1948, it recovered quickly. The recent recoveries, however, have been much more gradual. Unless employment rebounds rapidly (it's still falling), it's hard to see how we're going to get the v-shaped recovery that the bulls are now expecting.
(In 1948, consumers had almost do debt. Now they have it coming out of their ears).
The unemployment rate, meanwhile, is now the highest it has been in 26 years.

In 1948 we were still manufacturing and producing on American soil. No such luck this time, and no such rebound I'm afraid.
ReplyDelete1948 was completely different. In additon to manufacturing we had a huge building boom as returning WWII veterans built new lives for themselves and their families. There will be no building boom this time.

I bet the Japanese in those horrible camps would have never imagined that 70 or so years later the exact same camps would be used again on American citizens. All of us now. Not just Japanese Americans.
The tent cities were 100% FEMA created. All of the residents are strung out on LSD given by the CIA. All the unemployment, local bankruptcies and small business closing to this point are Black Ops and commando units originated. Folks, they mean business. They will not stop until every Zebra is out of the cage and all of their tricks are exhausted at the cost of the Great American Way of Life. Which means simple folk like you and me will need to stock up on extra bazookas and grenades. Think Red Dawn, but the enemy are not the Russians. It's the socalist nazis like the Pelosi's, the Janet Reno's, and the Chris Matthews.

ReplyDeleteI will be prepared for what is to come and wait for the Lord to return AFTER while you stand there waiting for the "so-called" pre-trib rapture.
Prepare spiritually first, and prepare physically for what is ahead second.
I will prepare Mentally and Physically, Religion wont play into it at all because it is all bullshit anyways, fake bs to keep the sheep fearful and obediant. Religion is Mass Insanity and I wont be a part of the Stupidity. I will be ready for anything that comes my way!!
