65,000 Apply for 2,000 Jobs At VW Plant

Pamela Glant of Chattanooga says she sought a production job with Volkswagen's local auto assembly plant to improve her standard of living.

"I think I could do the work and I'd like to be tested," she said.

Ms. Glant is one of 35,000 people who applied for the 1,200 production jobs over the past three weeks, the company said Monday.

About 30,000 others have applied for the 800 professional and skilled maintenance slots so far, according to VW.

"We are overwhelmed by the response and we are very satisfied with the result," said Hans-Herbert Jagla, executive vice president of human resources for VW's Chattanooga operations. "It gives us the confidence that we will be able to hire all the capable and flexible people we need to build our cars safely and with the highest quality."

Late Sunday, VW closed a three-week application window for the production jobs. The plant is slated to start making cars in early 2011 and employ 2,000 people.

Ryan Rose, VW's general manager of human resources in Chattanooga, said the next step for the production jobs is an assessment process.

  1. The tone of the fake media is slowly changing. Words like inflation are slowly being used by the MSM. Our owners know very well the power of words and phrases and control exactly when and where they are used.

When our owners start allowing their MSM to use words like 'collapse' or 'depression' then you know they are ready to change the public's perception of reality.

Their media is everything. Make no mistake it is their media. They couldn't have pulled off 9/11 without their media. Everything on your TV is filtered, approved, screened and stamped for public consumption.

If you see people living in cardboard boxes every 100' feet on your drive to work but CNBC just told you the economy is fine, it is fine.

  3. These figures shows how badly we are suffering from unemployment. 35000 applications for 1200 posts is a huge difference.

  5. One would think, if this story were reported on the Fantasy TV news, i.e., CNN, FOX, alphabet news and major print, most people would logically conclude there is something wrong in the economy. But WAIT! No, the dumbed down idiotic stupid sheeple who's lives revolve around their TV's, have no ability to logically think, or critically think. They think what they are told to think. It's called "perceived reality".

Meanwhile, for those of us living in reality, we understand what is happening. When 65,000 people apply for 2000 jobs, we know the end is near.

Prepare for a calamity of unknown proportions. Food will be in short supply very soon. Get storable food NOW! You must also have Water filters, Gold & Silver and lots of ammo!

Time is short, the controllers are throwing distraction after distraction at us. Don't be left out in the rain (or snow).

  6. I still am amazed at the level of control that the elite's media has over the populace.

A hive mentality. Drones. It is like a lie is uploaded to the hive via TV and no matter how ridiculous the theme is (ie we are out fighting for our freedoms; we are #1; god is with us; the Fed saved us) the hive uploads the data and processes it as 100% truth.

Someone like a Hitler if alive today would look at the level of control and just frothed at the mouth. Then he'd spit it out after he realized it was the Zionists that built today's Matrix. They won.

  7. Am I missing something here? Doesn't that mean that they got 35 applications or so for every job? That's not bad odds. I work at a university. They received 150 CVs for one history professor opening.
