NEW ORLEANS – The federal pointman for the BP oil spill says results are short of ideal in the new cap but the oil will stay shut in for another 6 hours at least. Retired Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen said on a Friday afternoon conference pressure readings from the cap have not reached the level that would show there are no other leaks in the well.
He said the test will go ahead for another 6-hour period before being reassessed to see if BP needs to reopen the cap and let oil spill out again.
The gulf is omni-fucked. How bad? Time awaits to show us.
ReplyDeleteReminds me last month at an interview how I met a fellow who said that he was ordered to evacuate from LA. Couldn't find any official report of evacuations in the media. Media black out? So mere hear-say.
Wonder if officials will become "desperate" enough to use a nuke. I don't understand much underwater nuclear UNDEX, but isn't the sea floor too porous for the wanted "glassification" effect? Including the oil leaking from the sea floor from cracks?
Who knows what else is being hid? BP has destroyed its credibility as it is with their blatant lies.
I feel that it won't hold and we will have leaks elsewhere, time will tell, but so far nothing seems to be going good in any part of the economy or with world events, sooooooo time'll tell.
