Blame It on the American Peopl

Bill O'Reilly of Fox News and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal have added their voices to the swelling chorus of second-guessers saying the Mitt Romney ran the race badly and therefore "deserved to lose" to Barack Obama on Nov. 6.

But here's a simpler and, I think, better explanation. There is no magic that dictates that the American people in their infinite wisdom will always make the right choice, and in this instance they 'doubled down' (to use one of the president's favorite expressions) in returning a very bad president to the White House -- one who had already shown himself to be incapable of providing competent (let alone inspiring) leadership in domestic and foreign affairs.

This happened despite the fact that Mitt Romney ran an exceptionally decent (as opposed to nasty) campaign, while President Obama ran an exceptionally nasty (as opposed to decent) campaign.

In his speeches and ads, Obama assaulted Romney's record as a businessman -- accusing him of everything from lying under oath, to being unpatriotic (lacking in "economic patriotism"), to causing to the death of laid-off steel worker's wife.

Obama made his primary theme one of envy, resentment, and class warfare. In one speech after another, he ignored the central truth that the American free enterprise system is based on voluntary exchange for mutual benefit, and he claimed instead that it is based on the rich exploiting the poor… and on profit-seeking businesses looking for every opportunity to cheat their customers on the far side, and their employees on the near side. 1. What about the problem that Romney refused to give us specifics as to what he'd do as president? What about the fact that he was the biggest flip-flopper of all time? Apparently he'd say anything to get the nomination and then say nothing--except that Obama was terrible.

As for his record as a businessman, he's not a businessman he's an investor. His group searches out weaker companies, takes them over, and looks for every way possible to make a buck--and the employees be damned.

So, of the 78 companies Bain acquired, 22 were sent into bankruptcy, since more money could be made that way. In each case, Bain put the companies into debt while paying themselves big bonuses and fees--and at the same time asking the workers to give up salaries and benefits.

He's also one of the investors who closed down Delco auto parts, fired 25,000 workers, and shipped everything to China. If you thought Romney would do something about unemployment, you were wrong.

    2. I remember women's uteruses being a specific issue. Oh, and free contraceptives!

As if Obama ever worked a day in his life! He's made a living off of others, and will continue to do so.

Feel free to look up Obama's past, the little that there is available.

  2. The game the opposition plays is to try to make you tell everyone what you would do in great detail then they spend the entire time before election beating you over your head with your own words. It didn't bother you that Obama and the Democrats also didn't say what they would do???

You need to take some classes on economics at your local community college you are clueless. 78 of the 78 companies that Bain bought out were in or going into bankruptcy. of those 56 could be saved and 22 had to go through the bankruptcy process already begun. And you consider this a failure???!!!

Delco entered bankruptcy after Romney left Bain. Their bankruptcy and the subsequent closing of some of thier manufacturing plants was an attempt to stay in business and keep job. Romney had nothing to do with it.

  3. Sharon has no understanding of economis or business. Her ignorance is based on a lifetime of envy expecting others to care for her. Believing in hope and change as she does is for the ignorant 47% that dream of winning the lottery to get ahead. Her paycheck is an EBT card fueld by the labor of others. She and her kind are destroying this once great nation. The rest of the people go to work at meaningful jobs or build business and do it on their own.

  4. Obama's record as a businessman; from the official Homeland Security website:

“Depending on your immigration status, length of time in the United States, and income, you may be eligible for some federal benefit programs”

Way to attract the best and the brightest the world has to offer...in other words, come on in you and live off the hard working productive taxpayers.

Insanity at the helm as he moves the USA FORWARD into a third world shit hole.
