Why the Sudden Rush to Stock Your Pantry?

(A serious matter with some minor humor injected)

By Will Thomas

I know a number of survival advocates including former military and pastors who tell us to stock up on food for the long-term including what we buy at the grocery store for daily needs. I truly understand the mindset but when I hear about workers from the Postal Service say they have been instructed to have 30-40 days of food on hand, perhaps we need to delve further into the matter.

If the local postmaster made the suggestion, that’s one thing. If the directive was handed down from the top and they’ve gone postal (no pun intended) then perhaps we should examine the situation a little more closely.

1. A 30 day supply of food at the grocery store could easily cost a family of 4 around $800.00 plus.

2. Not many families can afford to pay $800.00 out this payday for immediate food.

3. Families and individuals on limited incomes are unable to meet such a request.

What do they know that the rest of us don’t?

1. Is it Bird flu/H1N1?

2. Is North Korea more powerful than we are being told?

3. Is our economy about to collapse?

4. Are the powers that govern going to devalue the currency and we wake up to a new dollar worth 20% of what the old one was?

5. Are we being blackmailed by a foreign country?

6. Have we actually sold our sovereignty to China?

7. Do we have an unknown threat that has been identified but is still classified?

I recently discovered a company that sells food to the public. In order for you to realize savings, you order a half or full truckload of your favorites and split the cost. So when 100 people from a church get together and split the cost, each member pays $190.00 and receives 3 times the amount of food they would get at the grocery store. Cases of peas, corn and many other veggies plus spaghetti, drinks, paper goods and tons of other edible delights including candy; canned fruits, canned soups and everything is in date and fresh.

This is not salvage food, nor is it throw away donations. This is a resourceful way for people and groups to get together and save big money on their food bill. The company even delivers to your location or to your private retreat or bug out location if you order a quarter, half or full truckload.

So, if you believe that the cold war is over, please disregard everything written in this article. Keep only enough food in your pantry to supply you or your family for 1 or two days. Remember Hurricane Katrina and for heaven’s sake, stop stocking up on ammo and guns. Glenn Beck thinks the FEMA camps are real. The cat is out of the bag.

Get along now and be a good green weenie and make sure your cows don’t pass gas (that will be taxed) and that you don’t drink too much water. Invest everything you have in questionable stocks and any other Government run business you can find. Pray (which qualifies you as a Terrorist) for some of our current leaders to retire or go into exile and more importantly, move in with you. Nevertheless, be sure to stock up on food through this company called TruckloadGroceries.com. I am all for saving anything when it comes to money, especially on food.

  1. I Stocked my shelves months ago, but the thing to remember is, that you need to constantly be using your current supplies, and replacing them or your shelf life runs out, even most canned goods only have a shelf life of about 6-8 months.

  2. Most commercially canned items have a shelf time of 4-5+ years. Probably consumable for ten years. Like medicine, the expiration date is very conservative because they want you buying new/more food. If the cans are kept in a cool enviroment of course. If you keep them in a hot shed, then a year.

Watch for any cans that show any signs of bulging/swelling. That means baddies are in there. Toss those.

Freeze dried food is easier and less worrisome that canned foods for storage. 20+ year life and you don't have to worry about them freezing in the winter. Req water of course. A good source for those is Costco's resold Shelf Reliance brand and also their $89.99 survival food bucket. You are not talking gourmet here. Just someone to keep from starving when Albertson's locks their doors.

As important if not more important than food storage is water storage. Search for videos on it. Not expensive, but critical. Water from a tap right now can store 1-2 years untreated - it already has chlorine in it.

Get a quality water handheld filter like ones camper's use.

Most people do have about a three-day supply of food. They will look at you as being a nut for storing any food. Of course, until they are starving waiting for help that never comes.

  3. 3. Yes

    4. Absolutely

    5. Yes, shalom

    6. Yes, most federal parkland is already owned by them. As in collateral for debt we can never repay, so yes, owned.

I believe Glenn Beck said FEMA camps are not real which is idiotic. Anyone, in any state, can drive out and see theirs. Do you think before the Japanese were dragged off to the camps in 1944 the goverment advertised the building of the interment camps? One of the last acts of Congress in 2006 was to refurbish the older interment camps used in WWII for 'historical' purposes - yeah right.

I am sure the 500k plastic coffins stored in open fields in Georgia are just there for looks.

Strange how people see and believe only what they want to believe.

As for the food info above, absolutely! They won't have to go door to door for you when it comes to loading up the camps. Just ring the dinner bell and people will come a running.

  4. 1. Is it Bird flu/H1N1?

Doubtful the Post Office would be informed but not other more vital institutions, like hospitals, police, and so on. But maybe the Post Office, with its ego already flattened by the internet and higher gas prices, has taken this oppurtunity to generate this piece of insider news in order to make itself feel better.

    2. Is North Korea more powerful than we are being told?

There is no reason to believe this. Although the random threat still looms over nuclear war breaking out. It is obviously not advantageous for N. Korea to provoke it for they would not win it. It is probably more likely that the US would instigate it in order to crush the North. One less enemy out of the way.

    3. Is our economy about to collapse?

That is only a matter of time.

    4. Are the powers that govern going to devalue the currency and we wake up to a new dollar worth 20% of what the old one was?

Why not 33%? Why not 95%? Who knows, but I doubt they would - if they even could - attempt such a maneuver overnight. The trend we are seeing is to prolong the charade as long as possible and keep fooling individuals that the levee has not broken and the farm animals are all safe.

    5. Are we being blackmailed by a foreign country?

Yes, China is currently blackmailing the US with nude pictures of Obama and Michael Jackson at Neverland only months before his death. It is obvious to most people now, though, that his death was to prevent MJ from talking to the press who he himself was blackmailing the White House in order to have his 400 million dollar debt paid off. Good question.

    6. Have we actually sold our sovereignty to China?

Yes, we sold it for a mere parking lot of hummers and a few harley davidsons thrown into the deal because that is what our freedom was worth. However, now China doesn't know what to do with it. Do they really need another 1/3 billion to add to their already 1.3 billion population? Are there enough wontons to go around for that many people? Perhaps they are really looking at our dog population to make great delicious stir fry. That's it!

    7. Do we have an unknown threat that has been identified but is still classified?

I'll assume he is referring to UFO's here. While that always remains a possibility, I don't see it as a direct threat, or one that preparing with extra food storage is going to alleviate much.

    Shalom

  5. For '7' watch Secret Space Vol 2 on Youtube. Fascinating stuff and well put together. I'd buy the DVD but $34.95 is a little high.

Always amazed that most people will believe in some man in the sky god but not in extra terrestrial life. Billions of other solar systems and we are the only ones? That is the height of ignorance.

Only to support ridiculous belief myths. We really haven't advanced much that way in 3000 years.

  6. To the poster above in regards to North Korea:

It's not about North Korea winning a nuclear war or America doing whatever it takes to get a war going so we can go in there and clean the place out.

It's about fear, plain and simple. Having North Korea shoot off a few nukes, maybe hit a few islands or heaven forbid, kill some thousands of people will be a great way to take away all of our rights.

It's all about fear. When people are scared they stop thinking and start following authorative figures. TPTB know how we work on this inside and they manipulate us to their own evil ends.

    ReplyDelete
  7. That is one theory, but I don't lend it much credence. Again North Korea is not just going to launch off some rockets to kill a few thousand people in the US only to be annihilated in one fell swoop by us. It makes no sense for them unless it is a last ditch effort to inflict damage upon the US because of offensive attack(s) by us.

If TPTB want to create chaos they mine as well pay individuals to let off dirty bombs or even have a rogue force launch nuclear weapons. It makes much more sense than trying to force a country to attack us without looking like it actually wants a war.

  9. Regarding North Korea again:

Read up on TPTBs plan for North Korea. It's in many New Age books(whether one believes or not, I do not condone the New Age) and their plan is for North Korea to be a threat to the entire world at the end of this age. That is their PLAN, whether they are able to pull it off is another thing but TPTB want to raise North Korea up into a world power and they have the means to do it.

There's a book by a guy named Peter Lemusieller(I butchered his name I know) called the "Armageddon Script" which details the plan. Other New Age authors speak about this as well.

If TPTB have their way, North Korea will become a powerful threat to mankind very soon. But as another poster mentioned, most people are not very smart and will fall for almost anything.

But there are signs showing us what is to come and I think it is wise to look at those signs and watch to see if certain 'things' play out.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well thank you for your thoughts.

Unfortunately, unnamed New Age books are not a good source to point at to substantiate political opinion.

I remember back in 2000 before Bush got elected certain individuals tried to assure us that if Bush WAS elected China was going to invade the USA and World War III would start. This of course would ring in armageddon and the second coming of Jesus Christ. That did not happen.

If you have more information about the "plan for Korea" I would be willing to look at it.

  11. Glen Beck did an segment that exposed that the FEMA camps were a hoax.

    Get your facts straight.

    ReplyDelete
  12. No Glen Beck realized that something was amiss with the FEMA camps..and then took a payoff to do a bullshit peice 'debunking' them, same way Popular Mechanics did a 'debunking' peice on the collapse of the world trade center. Same way our government 'debunks' every last bit of truth until the only truth is that big brother loves you.

And you love Big Brother. You do. You have finally found your peace and now you can die.

  14. I bought my storable foods at efoodsdirect.com & also readyreservefoods.com. The latter being good for #10 cans of various foods, and efoods for non GMO foods. Efoods also offers various 3 month, 1 year packages. They are both good at shipping and their quality is good, as I have eaten some of the food to test it. It is all dehydrated or freeze dried. Also buy a good water filter, like berkey, one of the better ones (google it) and I suggest having weapons, as when people get hungry, they stop at nothing to get food.

I suggest getting at least 3 month supply, which is all I can afford. Of course, when the you know what hits the fan, there will be family and friends who DID NOT listen and you will end up providing for them. So double if you can and encourage others to do so also.

  16. Can you source the "Postal Service 30-40 days worth of food" part? I have looked briefly online and found no such evidence.

  17. You're shopping in the wrong stores, buying the wrong foods if it costs you $800 for a 0 day supply of food. I spend $150 on my monhly grocery trip with two additional milk runs during that month. If I added another box or two of dried milk instead of getting the fresh that we prefer I would still be under $200. This is for a family of four. Stop buying convience foods, stop buying brand name.

  18. U called my local post office in East Haddam, CT on 7/8/9. They said they had not heard of the post office asking it's employees to stock up,

Americans have done NOTHING about any of this, in the last traitorous administration or this traitorous administration. We elect the same crooks, year after year and wonder why things are getting so bad.

You want to know why things are getting so bad? Look in the mirror, America. You allow these crooks to, literally, get away with muder. You believe in the goodness of your elected politicians and make little to no effort to check on them. You believe they need to be paid millions by special interests to be reelected and those millions will not affect them. "HOW CAN SO MANY BE SO STUPID?'
