Perhaps you don't understand it. This video states that the financial crash will dwarf the money that will be used for future science. Most likely the money borrowed in the future will crash any type of banking/financial scenario.
The big reboot will happen for a greatly reduced population with those at the top of the pyramid benefiting the most. Same old,same old, with fewer slaves to feed.
Yep - reminds me of the "They want your Soul" video. These technologies will NOT be used for the greater good of humanity, but rather for a completely controlled society of interfaced humans via Darpa and the Global Information Grid (GIG).

With everyone trying to find shelter and food, who will have the money to buy gasoline, let alone fund, perfect and implement these technologies. What little money is left over will be directed to replacing carbon based fuels in our transportation and agricultural networks.

I am afraid to say that a bust can happen overnight. We live in an environment where everything happens so fast. Please folks we are not in the 1930's. Today with information technology, information is spread in seconds and decisions made in minutes. If some of you are waiting for a 1930 style depression then I am sorry to say that you missed it and its gone. Folks learn to live with your time.
