Entire City Sitting Empty in China

Al Jazeera looks at the impact of China’s economic stimulus spending:

China’s economy is continuing to grow despite the global recession, helped by a massive government stimulus package of $585bn.

But doubts remain whether such strong growth can be sustained by public spending alone.
Al Jazeera’s Melissa Chan reports from Inner Mongolia, where a whole town built with government money is standing empty.

  3. The China is the Swan which is trying to eat the Frog, which is the US....

However, the Frog(US) is choking the Swan(China) and not letting it eat it or breathe.

SO NEVER GIVE UP...OR GIVE IN! :)

  4. This might very well be commonplace in the states, at least large suburbs with miles of empty homes and stores

  5. I see more and more places where there are boards in the windows and sheriff notices on the door.

Not talking about dumps either. Nicer places than I have ever lived.

  6. I will add that when SHTF I fully intended to move into the aforementioned places :). Crowbar and bolt cutters stand ready. No electricity or running water though. Oh well. Better than the street or living out in the middle of the woods.

  7. Is there any possible way out of this? Are there any sound scenarios that don't involve crowbars and bolt cutters in real estate transactions? I have taken measures to prepare for a cluster f$#k but what can I be doing to actively try to prevent it or lessen the severity of it. Things as they are have to change, change a lot. I hope we will not have to relive the dark ages for this to happen.

  8. To Anon 7:33,

Gerald Celente has stated a third party will arise prior to the mid-term elections of 2010. It will be Libertarian in nature. Since the Jackass and Elephant are the same I'm going to hope this comes true and the populace in the USA wakes up. If not we'll be eating road kill here like they did in Argentina. Oh yes, be of good cheer according to Lloyd C. Blankfein the head of GS, they are doing God's work by stealing your future grand-children's living standard!

  9. I hope Mr Celente is correct, but I won't hold my breath. Instead, TPTB will give us another imposter that will say all the things we want to hear and enough of the sheeple will get him into office, that or they will pull a JFK and we are stuck with JB, or maybe even by that time a false flag to declare martial law, for the good of the country of course!
THat said, maybe if enough of us get pissed off something will happen for the better, but not until most of the sheeple, maybe even us, have lost homes, loved ones, etc

  10. 4:46 I wonder which god he refers to?
    Molech? Ra?
IF so, then yes, he is correct. And hopefully one day he will reap what he is sowing, with front row seats by the lake of fire.

  11. This is obviously not the same situation as Detroit.
The Chinese are building for themselves plus our computers and other plastic junk.

  12. I told China I could turn the city around at a flip of my finger. They didn't listen. If they had, we would have seen lots of vertical farms [see my URL].
