Peter Schiff: US headed for a Prolonged Depression

In this week's much anticipated State of the Union address, President Obama again demonstrated his poor understanding of the fundamental problems that confront our nation. By following the advice of the same people who helped guide our economy to the precipice of total collapse, Obama now threatens to push it over the edge.

Notwithstanding his well crafted lip service regarding future spending restraint, the essence of his current program is for more government spending and larger deficits. For all his talk about job creation, his policies will...

  1. Peter Schiff throws out right wing talking points but offers no solutions. I would like to hear his solutions! Cut taxes for the wealthy, start a war with Iran. What are they Peter? Give us a hint. Let the banks that don't lend fail?Come on Peter you are running for the senate. How are you going to fix it????

  2. I agree with 7:26, Schiff is a shill. Anything to get his name in the press. He is the perfect spokesman for the rich elite, the shinning populist white knight leading the privatization of public assets for pennies on the dollar. Keep it to yourself and your campaign for office Schiff.

  3. You got that right.

I like Schiff to a point. Afterall, he does call for the end of the Fed and if he was a shill I doubt if his handlers would want him to do that.

But the whole running for Senate thing wreaks. The Senate is nothing more that a staged meeting of stooges working for the banks.

He does talk openly about Hyperinflation which is a huge taboo subject I'll get him that much; also about the fake spend/consume economy.

What is boils down to with Schiff is that he talks about the errors and mistakes being made. Someone like Celente talks about the crimes being committed.

What is happening is no mistake or the result of negligence. It is coldly calculated robbery.

I think that is the best way to tell if someone is the real deal. Anyone who is telling you that there are 'huge mistakes in policy', like the Glen Beck types, are shills.

It always easy to sit on the other side of the face and fire critisism.Yes they sound good in theory.Things are so easy in real life.Schiff speaks a good game but does anyone really think this guy and a few of his kind would be able would be able to come into the Senate and turn the tables on the scum bag rat bastards elite who run America.I see three outcomes 1 he succumbs to the corruption 2 hes effectively villified by the status quo and hence discredited or an Italian necktie or some other type of dispensation.
lets get real the corrupt scum that run this govenment will only be dislodge by a Revolution which may or may not involve violent overthrow.

If I were a betting man I wouldnt put down to large a wager.I think the ursurptation of this cabal of slithering self serving snakes will only be toppled by force in one form or another. Its going to take a Moby Dick of some sort with the full backing of the people to effect this.Im afraid this is going to take a very long time to accomplish.
PREHAPS DEEP AGONIZING economic depression id the only effect catalyst for the above to transpire.

  5. For 10:17: Everything you said is 100% true; his running for office , like I told several local folks in my area who plan on running for local stuff is totally a waste of time, money, and futile, as politicians are controlled on all levels of gov. America is finished, and me and friends quit voting many years ago, and quit trying to inform others, it's useless vanity.

  6. My two favorites are Max Kaiser (anyone who openly calls Goldman Sachs thieves and scum is ok in my book) and Gerald Celente.

The only time Gerald has gone off track is when recently he talked about that anyone could be a terrorist, lurking. Come on, Gerald! That is right out of the Pentagon Fourth Reich playbook. You know 9/11 was a lie. You know we killed 1.2 million Iraqis for Empire. Now, get back on track and stop with the propaganda BS.

There are -0-, zip, nada terrorists in the USA except the ones wearing $3000 suits on Wall St.

  9. 7:26 read the whole article
    his main point being

Until Gov't gets out of the way; good luck - we will just continue to be mired down in the muck that we find ourselves in now.

  10. Shill, Beck, etc... The reason they speak openly about what is going on in our gov. is because the gov. lets them. The gov. figures if the people hear it enough they will either become immune to it or the gov. is just plain throwing in our faces and are saying just except it.

  11. You people are blind...this is just the begining. You haven't even begun to see how bad things will be. This is ALL in the bible. You people need to wake up and use your heads. One world government, one currency is on the way. You'll see.....Thanks to all the stupid losers who voted for Obama....reap what you sew!!
