Hewlett-Packard To Cut 9,000 Jobs

PALO ALTO, Calif. Hewlett-Packard Co. said Tuesday it will cut about 9,000 jobs and take $1 billion in charges over three years as it creates fully automated commercial data centers.
The Palo Alto, Calif. technology company said it will invest $1 billion in its enterprise services unit, over a multiyear period. The company said the job cuts will be the result of productivity gains and automation. The company said it will replace about 6,000 of the jobs to boost its global sales and delivery staff.
HP, whose fiscal year ends in October, said it will record about half of the $1 billion charge in the third quarter and the rest by the end of fiscal 2013.

  1. Huffington Post is a scam.

This article takes the tone that the job cuts are beneficial and a result of prosperity. Wow okay. Obama pretty much has those people in his pocket and even said for people to read them. They aren't reliable, the job cuts mentioned there are happening but it isn't for the reason they'd have people believe.

Now do you notice the articles beneath clearly demonstrating the overall condition of things but don't make the claim that it is because of improvements?

  7. What are average Americans doing?

Using their credit cards to buy fast food that is what they are doing. Hanging on by a thread and hoping the BS the MSM is spewing is true.

I was at a bar this weekend and just about everyone was paying for their drink(s) with a CC. Even people buying one beer.

    Crazy, desperate behavior.

  10. the bush depression is now in full swing, it started when the bush crime family was still in office and now it is getting worse, no one can clean up the major mess bush made, now his oil buddies are messing it up even worse, I hope texas burns this summer when the firecanes hit and explode through texas, I will laugh my ass of then.
