This is no surprise to me: I used to work for OSRAM SYLVANIA, and our Capacitors (ballasts) for the HID lights were manufactured in China. They were 100% QA Retested here in the US, and had a failure rate of about 80%. Once tested and "passed", the "Made in China" label was removed, and a "Made in USA" one was put on.
ReplyDeleteAll of this is just an example of when something is "BUILT FOR A PRICE" and the quality has been cut out of the product; what exactly is the point of being in business? You can only profit so long by pushing a bunch of garbage out into the marketplace.
With china goods the consumer is always the QC inspector. Sure Target or WalMart takes back the cheap crap and refunds, but your effective cost goes through the roof.

multi-nationals export most of the products from China.
They have to meet say Wall mart specifications .
A lot of "Made in China" commodities are only from cheap labour assembly line work .

It is these companies that are responsible for the shoddy goods .You can only work with the raw materials provided.
