MEXICO CITY (Dow Jones)--U.S. automobile giant General Motors Co. said Tuesday it plans to invest close to $500 million in its Ramos Arizpe plant in northern Mexico to produce a new line of engines as well as a new vehicle. Of that amount, the company is investing $284 million to manufacture eight-cylinder engines with spark-ignition direct-injection technology, known as SIDI, Grace Lieblein, chief executive of GM de Mexico, said at an event. "We estimate that these technologies allow for a 9% improvement in fuel efficiency from current engines," Lieblein said, adding that the investment will directly create 390 jobs in...
Geez, tax revolt time yet?? Our tax money in the form of bailouts going to Mexico so they can create jobs instead of US jobs??
ReplyDeleteYes, it will take out $500 M out of US, give 390 jobs to Mexico and make the Make The Industrial Cartel Richer - That is all. Any Benefit to the Americans? Maybe 6 will benefit.
ReplyDeletethats free trade capitalism
ReplyDeleteon the other hand GM is making big bucks in China, where its biggest market is now.
what makes you think that capital is patriotic american?
More great news of an economy that's making its way back up and fast. Invest in the markets and you will make a great choice for a future income.
ReplyDeleteThe GFC is way behind us now and the future looks bright indeed!!!

ReplyDeleteit will come quick everyone will be surprised
then the complete collapse
msm will be once again lost
No one should be surprised by this...this is a part of the New World Order plan...investing in Mexico for the benefit of the North American Union.
ReplyDeleteYou must be racists if you don't want to spend your tax money to help Mexicans
ReplyDeleteAttention all workers. The following names will report to the personnel office for termination or pay decreases: All Americans. That is all.
ReplyDeleteYep, what a wonderful job you have done you half baked president. You bailed the losers out, stole our tax dollars and now you help these thieves go to across the border?
ReplyDeleteFolk, as a plea, stop buying GM (government motors) vehicles. As well as any other company that decides to uproot from America and go to another country. We have all got to take this serious. This may be our last chance.
I was employed in the textile industry for 28 years, until DUPONT, decided to more it's operations to every damn mongrel nation it could.
I have witnessed the demise of this industry for decades. We were told it would not impact the locals at all, we were duped, lied to and pretty much threatened, that if we did not abide, we were gone!
Wake up before it's to late!
For God sakes are we that damn goofy?
Many Mexicans are members of racist organizations like La Raza (The Race). They hate us plenty. Of course that is all very hush hush for our media and no big deal anyhow, right? For them, California, Arizona etc. are "Aztlan", a mythical place where they rule. Its not hard even for this stump jumper to see which way things are going where that is concerned. But there are still a few things we in this country do very well and one of them is war.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling we will sit around like a bunch of stone monkeys while everything this country has built over two hundred years is stripped and shipped. But someone better let this bunch of Axtlanos know that we have eight million automatic weapons in private hands in the USA and we didn't get them to use as batons in a parade and we've already decided the hard way we're not up for dusting any stars off of our flag.
1:08 the Elite know what they are doing. They stripped the country over years not days. Jobs have been stripped, companies moved, money stolen, housing collapsed. Without a wink of the eye. You can have a billion guns it won't matter. The will leave with everything you own... then we can all shoot each other, while they watch it on a new TV cable channel.
ReplyDeleteI've read the posts, now some facts..#1 GM did NOT get "bailed out", the government LOANED the money to them. (They paid it back in full already) #2 The Union has absolutely NOTHING to do with GM's choice of where new product is put. Please voice your concerns to GM - You can still buy American made GM vehicles.. Just ask the dealer which country manufactured the model you are interested in.
