US No Longer the World Reserve Currency?

It was the most startling of warnings. If the US does not get its finances in order “we will have a European situation on our hands, and possibly worse”, claimed Paul Ryan, the new Republican chairman of the House of Representatives budget committee.

The consequences of not tackling the country’s mounting debt burden would be dire, he last week told an audience of leading budget experts and economists at a gathering in Washington. “We will have the riots in the streets, we will have the defaults, we will have all of those ugliness problems,” he said, referring to “French kids lobbing Molotov cocktails at cars, burning down schools because the retirement age will be moved from 60 to 62”.

As it stands today, the US borrows about 40 cents of every dollar it spends. Curbing the budget deficit has been the stated mission of Mr Ryan, a rising Republican star, for several years. But such calls for action have multiplied in Washington in recent months, igniting what some say is the fiercest debate over fiscal and budgetary policy in decades.

  1. Big Ben is gonna take 'er right to the top and as far as he's concerned; there is NO difference between borrowing 40% to finance the globe; or 100% - just the timeframe it "buys" you.

On our current course; that would be about 6 years. The big but here is what is the next bailout and how big? There are so many potentials - not only here; but abroad - that it is very difficult to predict with any certainty a timeframe left for the solvency of the USA.

There is no safe haven in the world right now and just as we have established our military will and might over the world; we have now succeded in doing the same monetarily. The problem as I see it is that unfortunatly; there is just no country or countries that can step up and make us accountable for our actions; realizing that if the worlds largest consumption
engine goes down - so do they.

  2. seems like their already showing their hand as for the future and it's not US shores. with all the new factories going up in asia by the big corps speaks to their thoughts on where profits are to be made, add to that the raw material assets being opened and purchased by private corps/banks and oversea's states to be used oversea's seems like their future play is oriented more there then here. oh well it's not like any didn't see this coming from years ago

  3. 3:19 I agree; but this current scenario being played out can chande very quickly. Remember; it's all just a really big game to the elites; they don't give a shit where they makre their profits or on whos back they make them - as long as they do.

If the USA has a complete meltdown and their are no jobs, worthless currency and 300 million people starving - wages will come down here too
ALOT - and we have the natural resources and technology as well.

never know what tomorrow will bring; but I guarantee you; this time around it ain't gonna be boring.

  4. I find this hard to swallow. How is it with Clinton in office we had a surplus and now no one in the current administration can pull off what he did, come on. It's another wool over the American Eyes lie. If you believe this then you need to find out what your new zodiac sign is. Good Grief

  5. the national accounts have two major parts .
A budget deficit and a permanent trade defict .

by cooking the books and creative accounting methods like transferring one bit of revenue money , from one pocket to the other , (such as when tax revenues like social security provison funds are replaced by IOU,)it was posssible to claim that Clinton run a "balanced budget" for a year or two.
but then there was still the trade deficit debts accumalating year after year.
Not to mention the deficit spending on the military industrial compex and getting ready for the next wars that continued in the same old way .
with no "peace dividend" in sight.
Thus the great Ponzi economy was alive and still functioning well under clinton.

Bush 2,just developed ithe ponzi bubbles system further ,with foreign money loans inputs ,funding both government budget deficits a war economy and trade deficits really hitting the max.
bush created a "war on terror" against the third world for preserving the dollar hegemomy with deficit spending finance.
when the ponzi economy imploded in 2008 the bush "war on terror" was extended by false flag means into military keynesian stimulus inside america itself.
    For a 'homeland security"war economy.

As a war to terrorise the US middle class into handing over its savings and assets to the elites from a now de-industralised america .
Ther are only fake profits from money printing.

obama is continuing on as Bush 3 and says that these economic and war policies are to "save america" for its TBTF banksters profitability .
"austerity" is rquired now to balance the budget as the wars for empire and annual trillionn dollar bailout money must come first .

americans are happy with their Empire, so no 'guns or butter 'questions arise, only questions of where to lay in the boot for the lites .
    increased taxes for medicare?
    cut pensioners cola adjustment ?
cut the unemployed peoples benifits ?
    cut Food stamp benifits ?
    ETC ETC.
The elite and their better off allies ,those who still have jobs and good incomes even say if it helps the TBTF elites,
    preferably;
    All of the above!
As the AmeriKan way of doing business.

  6. 9:24 You are a generous man...6 years?

Man I am still shocked we haven't gone into riot mode since late 2009...I say the over under is weirdly enough...2012...Check out NASA"s reports on solar flares that year...Friggen spooky.

Ther are too many weird things happening that year...Maybe those damn Mayans knew something? :P

  7. 9:27, you would probably be better suited to hang out on yahoo answers with other mentally retarded schizophrenics.

3:11, there were two Mayan Calendars. One was just an advanced astronomical calendar (for its time) that knew the future date of the Precission of the Equinox and simultaneously, Winter Solstice. One occurs every 21st of December where the Precission coincidentally occurs every 5,000+ years.

The cycles they mapped in that calendar did not represent anything significant. December 21st, 2012 is a common event that starts the calendar over again. The weird calendar that DOES end is the nine wind calendar.

This one holds nine time cycles that become fractal and seem to represent the universe's evolution. The times translated from Mayan into our time measures holds frames sequentially like this:

    1) 16 billion years
    2) 800 million years
    3) 40 million years
    4) two million years
    5) 100,000 years
    6) 6,000 B.C.E
    7) 1700s C.E
    8) 1987/1999 C.E
    9) 2011

    http://www.calleman.com/content/pyramid_of_consciousness.htm

(Note: I don't agree with anything that man interprets. He is a common new ager and has grossly distorted, spurious material. But the dates to the calendar there are accurate).

As far as stellar forces being a factor, they always have been. Stellar frequencies of energy have always effected mankind in unconscious ways that act out on the emotions and thoughts. Astrology itself is mostly a scam practice today however.

Most people look in the wrong direction today when it comes to End of the World cycles. "This" world is actually ending through the subtle forces of our collective consciousness. The Collective Consciousness, which is a medley of amalgamated genetic coding, electromagnetic sinks and transmitters, stellar radiation, intangible realms, holistic fields of quantum communication, and of course many unknown factors, is flooded.

The amount of "noise" in this world has become so high that individuals can no longer live a genuine spiritual life and claim liberation from the cycles of life and death - polarity/duality.

How it will end or when, or even the duration it will take is obviously too complex to predict. But we are thankfully left with the Ancients who knew about these cycles (which have happened millions of times over).

Lau Tzu's discussion with the Kind Prince in the Hua Hu Ching: "Venerable Teacher, will there be in future generations and in the time of confusion, good men and women who will come to know the free immortal life and transcend their own cycles of life and death?"

Lau Tzu's response, "Kind Prince, in future generations people will procreate as prolifically as the silkworm produces eggs, with little moral control or astrological awareness. There will inevitably be many sick and disabled individuals. This blind and ignorant multiplication of the population will degrade the quality of humanity. In the future there will also be collective murder, slaugther, plagues, and finally a big war with the crisis of total destruction... only the ones of immortal virtue will be able to support themselves and start a better world."

If you think that is trippy wait until you read Autobiography of a Yogi. And if you read Daniel in the Bible, the "copper" kingdom is actually the iron age that went as far as the imperial era. The 20th century with the radio, TV, planes, and Internet was the "final kingdom". The lesser kingdoms represent "unwhole" consciousness, which is degenerated self awareness. Yogananda outlines the mechanics there.

Seriously though read "The Complete Works of Lao Tzu" and be shocked how someone 500 B.C.E could nail such things on the head. Yet, he claims the writings he has had been around before man!

  10. I am personally at a boiling point as I read more and learn more about how bad of a position the US is in financially. As you start to look at the details of it, and then look at the implications to all Americans (and then the entire world)... all of the individuals in our government who are responsible for managing the US finances should be tried for TREASON. I mean EVERY ONE OF THEM.
