That's actually a very cool site for something that's New Agey. Usually the New Agers can't accept the way the world as its violent, miserable condition. During the Bush years they used to call for a new world, and thought the world was falling apart (most liberals did). When Obama came in many thought it represented peace on earth... then you had a good number of liberals mocking the right wing for being concerned about humanity and such.
ReplyDeleteI think the bottom line is that the pace at which information/beliefs are thrown around, and how everyone is crowded mentally together with ways of life they don't want to interact with (globalization includes the cross cultures within each nation), is causing a lot of grief for people.
Lau Tzu talked about this in the Hua Hu Ching. If anyone cares to find it somewhere, maybe it's online, read it in parts 73 to 78. Written 500 B.C.E, this really nails what's taking place. Forget the Mayans, Revelations, Hopi, and anything about bees or weather changes...
Lau Tzu will tell you what is REALLY occuring. And how to make it through. In short, a great spiritual force (God) is realigning Itself here and is about to bring humanity into a higher way of existence. Through the individual will come a New Way of life that is closer to that of Heaven. As far as the current world is concerned, it will end in massive destruction and death IF those of Virtue do not cultivate the Way in large numbers.
That's related to the part in the Bible where God told Abraham he wouldn't destroy the city if he could find just 10 good men there who follow the Law.
However, Yogananda wrote his master's words about an end of the world scenario. It would come if too many people became increasingly "deranged", the spiritual hierarchs are said to destroy worlds in order to save them...
