Republican Leaders, Obama in Talks on Debt Impasse

As lawmakers scrambled late Saturday to come to an agreement to raise the U.S. debt ceiling, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky suggested that he was negotiating directly with President Barack Obama. Standing beside House Speaker John Boehner at a news conference, McConnell said he had spoken in the afternoon to Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden about a deal to avert what the administration says will be a default on Tuesday. “We are now fully engaged with the one person in America ... who can sign a bill into law,” said McConnell. “I’m confident and optimistic that we’re going to get an agreement in the very near . . . . .

  1. wooof. what a clocker. people all they have to do is print money, hand it to people in mail, use post box workers to do this, give poor people a little more, build fast foods and gas stations everywhere, get some green grass in these tankers, then take money from rich to give to places that have a little less. Printing money is for the americans. taking from rich is for the world. now I know all of you have been seeing things. but i tell you we should get out on streets or sit inside to play chess. because folks the fault line is being formed. nobodys foolin' nobody as to where it goes. rage against machine song. its time to rip a new one, as duke nukem would put it. im tired of the abuse. im tired of the abuse.
