Chaos on the Streets of America

The American Dream

Should we just expect mass chaos on the streets of America every time a major holiday rolls around? At least 42 people were hit by gunfire in New York City over the Labor Day weekend. The violence got so bad that even the mayor felt compelled to publicly address it. In Chicago, at least 6 people(including a man in a wheelchair) were killed over the Labor Day weekend. Sadly, this is just a continuation of a trend that we have seen build over the past few years. At the beginning of the summer, there was terrible violence all over America during the Memorial Day weekend. We also saw violence break out during 4th of July celebrations. It appears that wherever large groups of young people gather in America today, there is going to be a very good chance that chaos is going to erupt.

In a previous article, I quoted what John Adams, the second president of the United States, had to say about the importance of morality in society.... "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other." Our Constitution is in grave danger today. As I wrote about yesterday, this nation is being transformed into a much different place. The federal government has become deeply corrupt and so has a large portion of the American people. So what is the answer? How can we recapture the essence of what once made this country so great?

  1. Why are sites like this needed?

Just look around. Sites like USAtoday.com look like they are put out by the Pentagon.

  2. Well, me and my family are doing alright. We could be better. Much of this whole he said she said stuff on these alternative media sites can get a bit exaggerated.

I live in a city where plazas hold stores by the dozens, and each plaza is not too far from the others. All ya gotta do is walk or take the bus if you don't have a car. Clothes stores could hire, maybe a video store, you could be an usher at the movie theatre.

There are great opportunities, we just need to believe in ourselves again. To paraphrase John Kerry, one of my favorites. I have a wife and two boys. My boys are out each afternoon bringing in some money for us with lemonade stands, and going out at times to offer the grass to be mowed. I'll tell ya kids sure are honorable when you raise them right.

I'm not a perfect parent, but I do accept debt and use credit cards in order to get by. Judge me all you want, at least I don't hoard metal and stone.

World peace is upon us today, violence is rare, people are getting into shape, malls are filled with sexy women - though I am married. Things have never been better on planet Earth, neat Internet gadgets makes life right at your finger tips. It's time we put the past behind us and look forward to the rainbow.

  3. It's called the Behavioral sink. See Calhouns population experiments with rats. It's not unusual at all but normal in a society where more and more people are crammed into every square mile. As Americans we are brainwashed to believe that anything in the name of growth greed and profit is good. The problem of course with this notion is that it's based on finite resources and has no moral basis whatsoever. i.e. it's ultimately a game we are all going to lose and big time. It's happening already. The signs are all around us. This won't be a depression or a recession. IT will be complete collapse. All we need do is stop watching TV for a few minutes and THINK....the one thing the Govt does not want you to do.
