One Moviegoer With a Gun Could Have Prevented 70 Innocent People From Being Shot

In light of the incident at the Dark Knight premier early this morning, it’s worth noting that we as a law abiding society could have prevented the deaths of, at last count, 13 people and the injuries sustained by scores of others.

Anti-gun fanatics will tell us that outlawing guns is the solution. In fact, before the smoke from the gunfire dissipated this morning special interests and politicians were already calling for more gun control. Mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg has asked our Presidential candidates to directly address the issue:

No matter where you stand on the Second Amendment, no matter where you stand on guns, we have a right to hear from both of them, concretely, not just in generalities, specifically, what are they going to do about guns?

No doubt Mr. Bloomberg (and his merry band of government nitwits) would be ecstatic if both candidates supported a Constitutional Convention to eliminate the second amendment.

While Messers Obama and Romney will likely treat us to a host of platitudes regarding the issue, the fact of the matter is that prevention of such horrendous crimes falls not in the hands of the government, but of the people. Read more.......

  3. And 10 or 40 more could have resulted in a wonderful hail of bullets in all directions! Remember, we are now the least educated industrial nation in the world, more and more guns WILL equal more and more deaths. We are fat, stupid morons. Rome in its last days.

  4. So what do you think we should do? Gun control didn't stop the Norway shooter from getting a hold of weapons and killing innocent people. When you remove gun/weapons from law abiding citizens all you are doing is arming the criminals. Look at the Chicago statistics. Chicago's crime rates (shootings) are through the roof and there is gun control in that state. Who's committing the crimes there? Certainly, not concealed carry individuals because it's against the law. Certain people always want to blame guns for committing such awful acts. Guns have also saved the lives of many people trying to protect themselves, family and innocent people from harm. There are those that want to blame the Batman Movie too! Let's ban the movie also etc...

  5. How are we the least educated industrial country in the world? Where did you get that info? Please back up your so-called facts with references as to where you got your info from. Then again, someone with some sense could look this information up for themselves. Now, we aren't as high on the list as we once were, but we are definitely not the least. That being said, What does that have to do with this story? Also, the shooter (according to the news and law enforcement officers) was not an uneducated man.
