US House Passes $636 Billion Military Spending Bill

With overwhelming bipartisan support, the United States House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a massive $636 billion military appropriations bill for 2010.
The bill includes some $128 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but it does not fully fund the Obama administration’s escalation in Afghanistan, making likely further appropriations for war spending next year.
The deployment of 30,000 additional US troops is expected to cost $35 to $40 billion a year. On Wednesday, the Pentagon announced that the first of the new troops ordered to Afghanistan have begun to arrive.
All told, US military spending in 2010 will be close to $700 billion. If one adds the hundreds of billions of dollars in military-related spending included in the budgets of other departments, the total is as much as $1 trillion.
The overwhelming support for the bill, which passed 395-34, demonstrates the bipartisan agreement in Washington on the war policy of the Obama administration. The vote comes shortly after President Barack Obama’s Nobel Prize speech, in which he outlined an expansion of US militarism.

  1. More war wongering and profiteering by the Oligarchs. Their staged 9/11 attack made it possible for the USA to go out and invade, kill, rape, destroy and torture. They killed what little was left of the USA. Our morality.

  2. I guess this is the REAL JOBS growth in the Military.

Obama does not give a crap about all of the people who voted for him. He told us he would pull out of both Iraq and Afghanistan. Lie.

I pity the next round of job growth and the countries like Pakistan, Iran, etc... that are going to be on the recieving end.

These WARS have BANKRUPTED the United States.

I feel sorry for the TROOPS and PRAY for them daily.

Maybe ALL of US should do something ... write our Congressman call them ... Fax them ... get in their face until our Troops are safely home.

  4. I also feel sorry for the troops. They fell for the fighting for our freedoms bullshit. Every fallen soldier dies for a money changer.

  5. Contacting congressmen is a worthless endeavor. Congress was bought and paid for long ago.

A grassroots attempt to teach young men and women the truth before they make the horrific mistake of joining up with the military is a much better alternative.

The message of peace, and against the corruption of the corporate elite bankers. The same message that the JFKs, John Lennons and MLKs were killed by the elite.

War is their greatest mode of profit and they care not about any human life, including US soldiers.

Unless you like to go along with our owners wordplay please do not call a soldier a troop. He or she is not a boy/girl scout. He/she is a trained killer.

Troop is just another word the elite made up to portray a soldier/killer as a 'helper.' A little trooper. Nauseating.

Same as all their other bs words and phrases to try and make horrific acts seem light hearted.

  6. The elite know that the Obama personality cult can only last for so long. Count on them having a few more aces up their sleeve when the sheeple realize that they have been had.

  7. How can any normal person with any rationality justify the slaughter of innocent Afghans?

There is absolutely no reason for being there except for what the Soviets wanted also; drugs/poppy field production and oil/gas routes to the Caspian Sea.

Otherwise, besides some ridiculous propaganda ramblings, why are we further bankruptcy the USA by spending $57k a minute?

This all led by a puppet given the Peace Prize? Geezus Christ. Insanity to the extreme.

    Welcome to the Fourth Reich.

  8. The spending bill was just the tip of the iceberg. We will spend 10x that amount easily on the road to hyperinflation.

  10. What if they gave a war and nobody showed up?

If soldiers "volunteer" to be in the army, isn't that a non-paid term?

Does the "other side" wear t-shirts saying "shoot at me, I am your enemy"? Otherwise stated, how do we know who they are?

Who is Jody? Has he really "got your girl and gone"? Is there really no use in looking down, ain't no discharge on the ground? Is there really no use in looking back, has Jody got your Cadillac?

Could Mick Jagger be telling the truth when he said "I can't get no-----sat-is-faction" during the Vietnam war? Did he try, and he try, and he try, and he try oh no no no.

Done. Added because of lack of stupid posts as usual today. Did not mind filling in.

  14. Difficult to comment. The dumbed down TV addicted mind controlled sheeple allow this to happen. We allow the criminals in congress and the executive branch to continue their wars of aggression killing millions of innocent people. It's nobody's fault but our own.

  15. I read mainstream blogs just to get a feel for what the average American knows and believes. It isn't good. Most are so throughly brainwashed into believing they wear white hats and are righteous.

More than 40% of Americans believe the economy will soon be better than ever. Most applaud the Federal Reserve for saving us. That is the slave applauding the master for getting out the whip.

Just awful what mind control and propaganda can do to a populace. We are rats in a maze. Edward Bernaise and the other shrinks that worked up social control programming for the masses did their jobs well.

The Oligarchs did not defeat American with guns. They beat us with their media and psychology.

Never before in this modern history (I say THIS modern history because we are NOT the first) have a people been so thoroughly controlled in a Matrix-like state of false reality.

It is like living inside an evil cartoon world anymore.

The most difficult realizations a truth seeker will come to terms with is 1) that we are indeed slaves, and 2) that no mythical man/god is going to come riding in on a white horsey to save us.

I believe Jordan Maxwell is right. America is done. We are going from a Clandestine Empire where the sheeple believe they are free to a brutal Fourth Reich where they were be no doubt we are not.

Do what you can to prepare now on a personal level.

The one freedom you have is within your mind. Kill off all their systems of manipulation and learn to think for yourself. Watch the Century of Self videos and learn how our owners have used their media and psychology to turn the sheeple into programmed drones.

    Don't be a drone.

  16. This is how Hollywood has worked hand in hand with the Oligarchs to condition gullible Americans to believe kind people are maniacs and killers.
