20 Reasons Global Debt Time Bomb Explodes Soon

Poll: 20 economic weapons of mass destruction triggering ticking Global Debt Time Bomb

1. Federal Budget Deficit Bomb. The Bush/Cheney wars pushed America deep into a debt hole. Federal debt limit was just raised almost 100% with Obama's 2010 budget, to $14.3 trillion vs. $7.8 trillion in 2005. The Congressional Budget Office predicts future deficits around 4% through 2020. Get it? America's debt at 84% of GDP will soon pass that toxic 90% trigger point.

2. U.S. Foreign Trade Bomb. Monthly deficits actually dropped from $50 billion per month to roughly $35 billion. But the total continues climbing as $400 billion is added each year. Foreigners now own $2.5 trillion of America, with China holding over $1.3 trillion in Treasury debt.

3. Weakening U.S. Dollar as Foreign Reserve Currency Bomb. Fear China and other currencies will replace dollar as main foreign reserves. The dollar's fallen: The main index measuring dollar strength has gone from 120 at the Clinton-to-Bush handoff to below 80 today.

4. Cheap Money Bomb: Credit Ratings Down, Rates Up. Economists at S&P, Fitch and Moody's were totally co-conspirators of Fat Cat Bankers, misleading investors before meltdown: Soon, debt up, ratings down, interest rates soar.

5. Global Real Estate Bomb. Dubai Tower, new "world's tallest building" is empty. BusinessWeek warns that China's housing collapse could be worse than America's. Plus the U.S. commercial real estate bubble is now $1.7 trillion, a "ticking time bomb" bloating 25% of bank balance sheets.

6. Peak Oil and the Population Bomb. China and India each need 500 new cities. The United Nations estimates world population exploding 50% from 6 billion to 9 billion by 2050: Three billion more humans demanding more automobiles, exhausting more resources to feed their version of the gas-guzzling "America Dream."

7. Social Security Bomb. We have no choice; eventually we must either cut benefits or raise taxes. Politicians hate both, so they'll do nothing. Delays worsen solutions. Without action, by 2035 Social Security and Medicare benefits will eat up the entire federal budget other than defense.

8. Medicare: A Nuclear Bomb. Going broke faster than Social Security. Prescription drug benefit added an unfunded $8.1 trillion. In 5 years estimates rose from about $35 trillion to over $60 trillion now.

Hmmmmmm is 10:29 a moron or actually a genius?

We know it's coming...Stock up and enjoy the time left before it gets all gray and miserable.

The difference between and the public is he knows and is aware.

I've stocked and stored and prepped...Now I'm going to enjoy, eat, drink, travel and smile...Because at this point no sense in hiding like a mouse waiting for the shoe to fall.

We all know gold/silver/markets/debt/war/politics are manipulated so why be all paranoid and scared?...Let shit run, be well armed, well prepped and f*ck it.

  4. Bush and Cheney probably saved your ass from being nuked by a terrorist! Stop whining.

and by the way, the war costs are a drop in the bucket compared to the socialist spending and democrat corruption costs related to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that have been added in the last year!

  5. When will people learn this terrorism stuff is a bunch of garbage.. A fake war on a fake enemy grossly exaggerated and propped up constantly by the media... Notice how they do it..Constantly repeating terror this terror that but what actually is happening? Not much.. 9/11 was not terrorism from another country it was self inflicted..Evidence was quickly removed and no investigation was done..

  6. You got that right. A ten year old could figure that one out.

  7. People need to stop bickering about whether is was Bush or anyone else's fault and stop all the Dems versus Reps or libs versus conservs and so forth.

Those who come here to sow dissent are evil. I am no Bible Thumper, but I see these people as evil. The Bible says that the devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy, and in a more cosmological viewpoint, I see these dissenters who sway our attention away from the economic issues as being sons of evil. What else could they be?

People who know what is really going on, just keep spreading the word and do not be dismayed.

  12. Jake, I know what you mean, but the few of us who are awake still cannot wake up those who only want to think "positive thoughts." Look, our own family members won't listen. I have a sister who is involved in some cult-like group of positive thinking and now she seems to live in a haze. My mother goes crazy if anyone brings up the topic of the economy and will scream "I don't want to hear it." Most people don't want to hear it.

The irony of all of this is that when they run into people who are going through unemployment and losing everything, then these same people will tell these people that everything will work out for the best in the end. These people don't know anything about hardship and don't even want to think about it, yet they are full of "positive" advice for those going through harsh times. They are hypocrites!!!

At this point I think those in denial will only wake up when they are personally affected. I hope by then it's not too late.

  13. Positive thinking is not realistic mind set nor a recommended guide to living in the real world.

We all suffer and die in the end, which tells me that life ends in a negative sense; however, we do not know what comes after death, so perhaps there is a silver lining. Still, life is a mix of good and bad, positive and negative. Things cannot be all positive. Reality is both positive and negative. People who are in this positive thinking mode are not able to think critically.

Remember what Hitler said once, he said it is possible to brainwash people to think that hell is paradise and vice versa. Positive thinking is brainwashing. The philosopher Kierkegaard said that positive thinking is delusional thinking. It is unrealistic.

What we need to do is BE REALISTIC and THINK CRITICALLY. The way to think critically or improve your critical thinking skills is to read a lot and to contrast and compare a lot. Use your mind.

  14. Yo Jake ! Rocky here

Seriously though; I think alot of Americans with
gonads intact have just grown weary of all of it and have taken the attitude " when it's really time i'll load up - until then fuck 'em all).

That's why we still continue to see record ammo and arms sales; the gov't mint running low on gold and silver to produce the American eagle series of coins; Spam factory running 24/7; seed sales at all time highs -- the signs are all there; you just gotta read them.

These same people are just sick and tired of their vote not seeming to matter; time after time they see people in positions of power - raping, robbing & pilaging the american people
they have had it with the double standards and have come to the realization that the same trait that made this country great 250 years ago is now a major liability - rugged individualism ( balls as you put it)

So - let the son of a bitch fall - we're ready; willing and able - that's what their saying in their own way.

  17. As Hank Jr. is fond of saying

    " Got a shotgun a rifle and a 4 wheel drive
and a country boy can survive

i'd like to spit some beechnut in that dudes
eye - and shoot him with my ole forty five"

that's it 2:16 - in their own way; that's what
    they are saying indeed.

I cannot speak for the city dwellers among us
here; but as a part of rural americana I can
tell you I'm not afraid to admit i don't know
who started these 2 damn wars we got goin' on
I was too damn busy raisin' 3 children. And i
also don't know who's really to blame for this
whole damn housing mess I was too damn busy
working 13 hours a day trying to give said kids
    a better life.

But I can tell you this, when push comes to
shove ( and it may once again come down to
that) there ain't nobody in the world i'd
rather strap on a set of boots with as my own
    neighbors.

All these high handed, high dealin', high
livin' low down people who are less than
scrupulous will get what's coming there way
always have, always will. In the meantime
we might be a little busy living, but trust
    me, we are paying attention

To further your point - I know just about everybody in the county in which I live ( rural
N.Y. just across the Pa. line) these neighbors
don't call there congress; or write letters to
    barrrrrrrraccccck OOOOOOOOOObbbbbbammmmma
but they are well informed; keep there opinons to themselves but most of all ----
I think as a whole --- they are prepared -- come waht will -- they are prepared.
Like the person above said - i cannot speak for the person in downtown Buffalo - but out here in the country -- they think something is amiss and
    are running there lives accordingly

Glad to see some people are finally coming around to Peak Oil. For a while so many would have argued til they were blue in the face that it is just a conspiracy, regardless of the facts and the reality of the situation. I guess with the right people pointing out this truth they are jumping aboard. The dubious fundamentalist Jerome Corsi didn't help matters for these cats when he was spouting about abiotic oil.

  29. many are in denial, about 30% are ready or are getting ready, the other 70% are screwed bad, they wont know what hit them, as they type lol into their blackberries that will be useless with an emp or the government just shutting down cell towers.

  33. 2:24 is quite right. Sitting up here in my perch from the country just to your North (eh)it's obvious as hell. I'm old enough to have seen quite a few U.S. presidents come and go, and while each had their own particular faults and agendas, none of them scares me like Pres. Obama. At first we watched, not sure what to expect, but it didn't take long too see which way things were headed. This is one serious, socialist agenda. Very scary! Yet, so many Americans seem unable to see it. The media fawns over him like he's a god. This is obvious, and it's wrong. If America goes down, we go down too, it's that simple, and why we watch what's happening in America closely. America is strong, and America is free (for now). The American people fought to make it that way and, I think, if need be the Amercian people will fight again to keep it that way. There may be some serious hell to go through, but I'll put my faith in the American people before the government. Times are tough right now, and it's easy to be down on yourselves, but I suspect you all are a lot tougher than you may think. More and more people are just now starting to wake up. You will prevail in the end. Without a strong, free Amercia, there will be no free world. We need you. So, from up North I say to our good neighbors, God Bless America!

  50. Ah yes, here we go again.
I just love these people who are what - point 02
of the world population trying to shove there nasty little lifestyles down our throats.

When will they realize that the overwhelming majority of people don't condone what they are
    doing???

I don't want to listen to your self centered BS
    and neither does anyone else.

They are like our elected officals - a damn stone wall could fall on them and they still
think what they are doing is ok.

    It's wrong - bottom line - it's wrong

  51. China already has a one child policy I think. They simply cannot afford more growth of their population, because The PRC is already very overpopulated, and there's still many millions of dirt poor people in china.

Also, they'd probably be looking at alternative fuel for cars such as biofuel, electricity or hydrogen.

  54. Lots of talk about uninformed people. Ask anyone on the street to define:

    Socialism
    Fascism
    Anarchy

    Who is the Vice President?
Who is the Speaker of the House?
Who is playing in the Super Bowl?

Most will get the last question correct, except me, I don't give a rip about sports of any kind.

Been out of work for 2 years now. During that time, I have taught myself:

    - Solar energy production. I have a 300 watt array.
    - I built a 500 watt wind generator
    - I can convert water into hydrogen and oxygen gas and use it as a fuel for any number of things
    - My garden is doing fine. Yes seed sales are strong. Perhaps people are considering home-based farming.
    - My welding skills have gotten better
    - I've got PM's, ammo, food and water

Has any of this helped me to find a job or start a business? No.

Lots of comments above about Americans with no balls. How about a solution? What is a common unemployed American to do? I would love to see every one of lying, corrupt bastards in DC and Wall Street dead, but it ain't gonna happen. So what next?

  56. Here is what has happened the global technology has been set up so people cannot connect and gather in groups we have been seperated by technowledgy even though we can communicate one on one from great distances.. We cannot ban together because this technology like twitter, only allows one way communication and nothing can truly come from this.. Whereas the media has the power to influence all with access to all at once. People think we are advanced but do you realize this technology is designed to keep people from uniting?

  59. Won't it be great when the gays and lesbo's are
    50% of the population ?

Then all these other special interest groups whom also deem themselves as somehow "mainstream" can watch the population of earth go to zero.

A union of a man and a woman was designed that
    way for a reason.

The other thing I always noticed about gays? There is always one dominate ( the "man" and one submissive - the "woman" ) too damn funny!

  60. 3;34 yes, pretty stupid thank you for noticing.

Copulating isn't the issue there oh many times smarter than me. Try copulating with a goat - you will; in approx. 70 years get the same result I was implying too above.

Brains; obviously have nothing to do with it - all I ask is look what "it" has gotten "us".

The answer? A whole LOT OF GRIEF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
