'Less Than 3 in Every 20 Americans Have Faith in Govt.'

A recent poll suggests that only 14 percent of Americans have complete faith in the United States government and the way it functions.

Results of a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll published Sunday further indicated that 85 percent of those surveyed believe that "the system of government is broken."
The polling center interviewed 1,023 adult Americans, including 954 registered voters, over phone between February 12 and February 15.
Compared with a similar survey in 2006, the percentage of Americans who think the government is broken has increased by eight points.
"That increase is highest among higher-income Americans and people who live in rural areas," said Keating Holland, CNN polling director.

The poll's sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.

  2. The 14% that approve must be retarded, or work for the government.

And stop watching TV news, or even better, turn off your TV and toss it, your first step towards living in reality.

  3. 3 out of 20? I would think more like less than 1 out of 200. Give them another 6 months. I'm sure CNN (the gov't official propoganda machine) is fudging the numbers.

  4. Proof U.S. Government is full of crap...

    France/Germany (Central Europe): $1643.8 billion (2009); $2,099.9 billion (2008)... 21.72% decline*

    France: $456.8 billion (2009); $601.9 billion (2008)... 24.11% decline
    Germany: $1,187.0 billion (2009); $1,498.0 billion (2008)... 20.76% decline

If no depression exists, these stats would be noticeably different.

  5. One must not confuse the Constitutional Design of the US Government with today's implementation of that design. The design of the US Constitution is a remarkable achievement worth preserving. However, an indifferent population captivated with TeeVee entertainment and self-love has permitted Corporate interests to invade and disguise itself within the executive, legislative, and yes, even the judiciary branches. The constantly indoctrinates the bloated consumers with its constant obsession with hollow personalities: Obama, Opra, Tiger, Cramer, Payton, Earnhart, et al.

The way out seems almost impossible.
The US needs to wash away it's Nation of Men and return to its roots as a Nation of Laws.
It needs to abolish the Federal Reserve and return to an honest money system. It needs to forbid the agents of Monsanto from dictating to the Halls of Congress what is safe to eat and drink. It needs to cleave the hold of the Central Banksters have around the neck of any person occupying the Oval Office. It needs to purge its miliary of those few thieves and murderers who masquarade as officers as honorable and moral leaders and defenders of the Constitution. It needs to do these things peacefully now, or the price may be far too high later. Semper Fi.

  6. Anon 9:12

Tragically, I don't think this will ever happen. Too much power already given up to the Corps. Also, too diversified a populace. In other words, too many special interests w/their own agendas, not the good of the whole!

The only way a turn around occurs, imho, is if the country goes into soupline depression for 30-50% of the populace.

And even then, there are always the FEMA camps.

You see, too many of us, me included, take the easy way out, which is exactly what TPTB want. Give 'em bread and circuses and we'll take the helm.

  8. cause the clowns on CNBC say its all "good" esp the one with the noise maker machine, and his brother the guy that used to pimp a chick named Goldie that now I guess is still waiting for the "seeds" to grow. These stock pushers with their puts, shorts, day trading, and hedge's, have no problem "making money" as they get all the insider info daily, besides their 7 figure annual salary's. Like that jackass bozo boo ya, said he paid his secretary 500K a year. how the hell can people in that bracket know about "inflation" At least that Kudlow dude is at least calling for higher rates. These are the guys they ask for "advice" about the economy, and these are the guys that work for them, at 7 figure annual incomes, that's why the CPI continues to be what "they" say it is and Uncle Ben will continue his game, while Sister Shela party's On with Cousin Tim
