Reappearance of Huge Plumes of Oil is Making It Hard to Pretend that the Problem Has Disappeared

There is a flood of information coming out on the Gulf oil spill.
Why?
The reappearance of huge plumes of oil is making it hard to pretend that it has all gone away.
Here's a roundup of some of the Gulf oil headlines from just the last 4 days:

Majority Of Americans Worry about Ability To Pay Mortgage or Rent, Poll Finds

  1. All of this caused by our illustrious POTUS's INACTION. The people of this country should call for the impeachment of Obama on this event alone! Allowing our own citizens to die in such a needless way...so shameful.

  2. feel the burn, my dear american friends. it's not close to what people felt in serbia, iraq or afganistan when you bombed the shit out of them for some bulshit reasons, but it is close enough to make me say that

  3. I know, it was so much better for Iraqis to be thrown in torture camps so Suddam's sadist sons could entertain themselves. Or how Afghan girls would be beaten and raped by their husbands if they did something so terrible like taking off their veil in public.

Man we really punished them badly by helping them build schools and playgrounds. Now we must pay the price for our harsh treatment to other nations. Gitmo is our biggest war crime. All those poor souls. They have to play basketball or watch television in two star lounge rooms all day. That is their only entertainment; that's torture!

  4. you went to iraq BECAUSE of oil in the first place! americans never gave a shit about torture chambers in any part of the world, and don't get started on turture or i will have to bring up the images from US prisons in iraq.

you forgot to mention serbs killing and raping muslims, my friend. "ethnic cleansing" you called it in the media back then and everybody cheered when bombs were falling on belgrade, too bad russians did not give them enough SAMs to teach nato pilots good lessons

nobody is feeling for americans anymore, ain't that strange? well, i am not surprised. so quit complaining and think about all the cash that bush and his cronies got from oil and haliburton (spelling?)

are you saying it's ok for americans to go around the world and overthrow whomever do not live according to what they think is right?

and if your answer is yes, can you tell me why you still did not invade saudi arabia, which in many way is way worse than saddam regime?

  6. The huge Plumes of Oil are actually large schools of fish and dolphin, clean of any oil or Corexit. BP cleaned up the oil and the fish and wildlife are back and the fishing is great. The gulf seafood has NOT been affected, and I encourage you to always ask for "gulf shrimp, oysters, fish etc", cause its darn good eating.

Catfish naturally can burn in sea water and there has always been trace amounts of oil in the gulf from natural seepage. BP has paid everyone what they were owed and there are no ill gulf residents, besides for the few who are faking symptoms to get disability pay.

Now go back to watching your TV news and World Series. Also, SHUT YOUR MOUTH!

  7. 12:11,

I said they are better off. That was all that came down to. They are better off. I used to have the rage against the machine mentality when I was a teenager. I'm not a patriot or some idiot waving a flag. I said they are better off.

Whatever the case is for why we went over there, if America is good or bad, what countries are worse the reality is that the Iraqis and Afghanis are 10 times better off than before. Simple.

Places in Africa are unbelievably worse than some places in the Middle East, and some countries are more dangerous than Iraq was. Obviously we weren't on a humanitarian excursion or there to stop WW3... but we went there and now the people are better off.

  8. How do you know that they are better off?
did you hear it from some MSM channel?
do you personally know some Iraqi that told you so?
Because from what read and hear, generally speaking they are way worse off.

  9. 12:39, that's sarcasm, I hope. Otherwise you are completely loony.

Things are going from bad to worse and it's getting very scary. I was in the supermarket trying to buy seafood, but most of it is farm raised in foreign countries. I saw exactly one wild caught fish (expensive haddock). If anything was from the Gulf, it wasn't labeled. So I bought nothing except vegetables.

The sea is polluted and dying. Foreclosures are spreading because more regular folks are losing their jobs or can't earn enough. If we have hyperinflation, especially for food and gasoline, you'll see a lot of violence and rioting.

Finally, the Dems have been ineffective at solving our problems, but if Repubs get control, they will make things worse. Can't wait to see what happens next Tuesday.

  11. Yes 3:43 & 12:39, I use sarcasm as it seems to get people to thinking, unlike the ridiculous discussions such as are countries better off after we invade them, rob their resources and kill their citizens?

Now go have a nice dinner of gulf oysters on the half shell with Corexit sauce, tarball stuffed shrimp and crude oil fried catfish.
    Sounds yummy :-)

Oh, and by the way, BP has destroyed the gulf, the gulf sea and wild life and now the gulf coast residents. Can you say Agenda 21?

    And the sheeple say "BAAAAA"!
