Lies Across America

“Every single empire, in its official discourse, has said that it is not like all the others, that its circumstances are special, that it has a mission to enlighten, civilize, bring order and democracy, and that it uses force only as a last resort.” – Edward Said

The increasingly fragile American Empire has been built on a foundation of lies. Lies we tell ourselves and Big lies spread by our government. The shit is so deep you can stir it with a stick. As we enter another holiday season the mainstream corporate mass media will relegate you to the status of consumer. This is a disgusting term that dehumanizes all Americans. You are nothing but a blot to corporations and advertisers selling you electronic doohickeys that they convince you that you must have. Propaganda about consumer spending being essential to an economic recovery is spewed from 52 inch HDTVs across the land, 24 hours per day, by CNBC, Fox, CBS and the other corporate owned media that generate billions in profits from selling advertising to corporations schilling material goods to thoughtless American consumers. Aldous Huxley had it figured out decades ago:

“Thanks to compulsory education and the rotary press, the propagandist has been able, for many years past, to convey his messages to virtually every adult in every civilized country.”

  1. This is what I argued many times before, to much consternation. Empires have come and gone. Ours is no different than the rest, aside from its novel toys and modern diversions. It too will crumble and fall to the way side. The glory of "democracy" and a "new world order" are just as assured as Rome ruling all the Earth for the rest of time.

  3. My advice to "Anonymous" is....
Don't waste your time and energy. There is no place to "Run" and there is no place to "Hide". History has a tendency of REPEATING itself and enduring the pains and/or joys of whatever may be in store. In the end it is the "GOD PROPOSES AND MAN DISPOSES" theory, or is it the other way around? "MAN PROPOSES AND GOD DISPOSES"?

  4. I agree; don'yt waste your time. You have bothe scenarios wrong dude - God is always first but the subjects are backwards - should read -

    GOD Disposes what man proposes

12:56 - One huge difference between us/now and any before in history - we are global man - and I mean global

The entire world is joined at the hip - one major player goes down

    We all go down

That, would be unprecedented in history

  5. Well besides the usual post-apocalyptic guns/food and ammo talk...I do know one thing:

    Never be a refugee.

Prep and prep and prep...In the city/suburb or rural areas...Let the storm pass you by AND then if you need to go somewhere go...Most of the people who get hurt anywhere are at the begining and during any panic...Stay home and wait it out for an allotted time frame THEN with a well arm group move.

No one ever makes it in small family units...You hear many stories from places people ran away from in Europe/Asia or Africa...Plus honestly people change if they know you have needs.

Good people become evil and honest men steal when there is no one looking over their shoulders.

I'm a city boy and know the city...I'd be a sitting freezing duck in the wild...Best the Devil that you know than theone you don't.

Look to Modern Day Argentina as a possible future USA model.

  6. You can either be a refugee or a survivor. The two may look the same on paper but the difference is in what I call the 4 A's: attitude, awareness, ability and adaptability. Therefore, one man left at the train station to die is, in another case, one man stepping off into oblivion embracing the unknown of night ready to face challenge. Hiding in the cellar in the city you just might be a sitting duck.

4:36, global-interconnectedness will be on the downturn, but just maybe we will continue to see ourselves as truly connected not all enemies vis a vis our different nations and arbitrary boundaries.
