Scariest Camera Ever Built: Detects Insurance, Tax, Tailgating or Not Wearing a Seatbelt

Even the most law-abiding driver might feel a shiver down the spine when spotting this speed camera at the roadside.
For as well as detecting speeding, it is packed with gizmos that check number plates to make sure insurance and tax are up to date.
It also measures the distance between vehicles to spot tailgating and takes pictures of the inside of the car – to make sure you are wearing a seat belt.

The latest weapon in speed camera technology can capture footage from 150ft away.
It is the first to detect multiple offences at the same time and is connected to police computers via satellite, so that prosecutions can be started within seconds of any offence.
Development of the system, known as Asset – Advanced Safety and Driver Support for Essential Road Transport – is being funded with around £7million of European money.

  1. If they could integrate this into a naked body scanner, the govt could also see if you are a terrorist, cause only terrorist carry guns. So they could see if your speeding, your papers are in order, if your tailgating, carrying a gun and also see your naked body, and everyone else's in the vehicle.

    Sounds like an excellent plan.

    You will LOVE your government.

  2. And add a bomb sniffer to see if you are carrying any bombs in your car. A special laser could be added to zap any violators.

  5. American freedom!
Cars should be soon equiped with a patyment licencing device like that used on toll roads ,so that any fines to criminals for any infringement of the laws can be automaticaly deducted.

or, Perhaps a long distance a credit card reader exists so fines would be enforced on the spot ?

In any case americans should not complain sbout any of this ,all corporate persons should have the right to communicate in this way with Americans as part of their freedom of speech .

This is a constitutional "human right" of corporate persons to freedom of speech ,as a recent supreme court decision has recently shown ,good for lobbyists and for donations to political parties and polititians.

  6. I also love how police will put hundreds or thousands of people in critical danger by chasing after someone who decides not to stop. They get about 20 cop cars, maybe two helicopters to chase down for an hour a guy who went through a red light and wouldn't stop for the officer.

They have his license plate, they can know who he is, but for some reason they feel obliged to put everyone in life threatening danger just to catch this fool there and then. But all they have to do is just go to his house and wait for him at some point.

If the guy hits somebody and kills them on the road while trying to escape... let's keep chasing him! If a cop car hits and kills somebody while chasing him... then let's keep chasing him!

    Brain dead police...

  7. Well if this doesn't wake up the sheeple, I give up. I'm just going to go up into a mountain somewhere and build a fucking cabin and live off the fish I catch in the river.
