Jon Stewart On Obama Contraception Controversy

Did a Daily Show segment with Jon Stewart calling out Republicans for their absurd stance on President Obama's contraception coverage compromise and employee exemptions turn the tide in the debate? The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

All employers should be required to provide health care to it's workers, even contraception should fall under healthcare, a company should have no say beyond providing it to women... If the woman refuses such services due to religious beliefs... I personally find that stupid, but IT'S THE WOMENS CHOICE... Not anybody else's... Read more....

  1. Murder is murder, it is not a "choice." It is a deliberate act by a bigot of the worst kind. A human that does not want to see another human come into the world. The final solution rises again.

Modern medical science tells you the fetus is nothing more than a lifeless blob of tissue, yet they can't even figure out a simple virus and cure the common cold.

The bottom line is contraception is not health care for for disease prevention because pregnancy is not a disease. It is a choice that two people make when they want to have sex.

Buy your birth control and murder procedures with your own damn money along with your other choices like beer and cigarettes. I didn't get drunk, get my rocks off, and finish with a smoke - two other people did by CHOICE.

    1. Simply put you are a moron, to call a virus simple is outright ignorance. You can cure one strand of a virus but it simply mutates. There is nothing common about the cold. Its a constantly changing virus. As much as I would love to cure the cold, I would rather cure a more viscous virus... Retards like you who would rather live in the stone age than allow scientists to work. Eventually you will ask for the help of the "modern science" you hate. Good luck

  2. The cost of health insurance is directly connected to what is covered. This additional coverage will increase the cost of everyone's insurance. Should I pay for someone else's contraception. I would prefer a cafeteria style coverage where I pick what I want covered and pay for that only. Some companies offer this and return the savings to the employees in the form of a check every month.

  3. You want to screw like barn animals, buy your own birth control. Next thing you know the homosexuals will demand insurance coverage for K-Y Jelly and strap ons.

  4. Healthcare is basically the correction of an abnormal condition e.g. cleft palate, hernia, etc. or the prevention and/or cure of a disease. Pregnancy and the prevention of it is none of the above.

A few quotes that relate to the above:

George Orwell stated “During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.”

George Orwell stated” Political language — and with variations this is true of all political parties, from Conservatives to Anarchists — is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.”

In his farewell address as president, George Washington said, ‘Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports … And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion.’”

The above individuals were required reading when I was in High School. I doubt that many high school graduates would know who I am even talking about. The Public School System should be renamed the Public Indoctrination System along with many of the so called higher institutions of learning. The school systems in this country have generally succeeded in removing the ability of their students to think critically.

  5. Hi, I would like to point out some grammatical errors in the Jon Stewart text. It may sound petty, but people might take what is printed more seriously if there is more attention to grammar. I am no expert but I will correct just a few sentences:

The author's text: "be required to provide health care to it's workers" Should be: to its workers. (It's is a contraction for it is.)
"a company should have no say beyond providing it to women..." is a bit awkward and this phrase is followed with "If THE woman refuses such services" It should be if A (indefinite article rather than THE) woman. "IT'S THE WOMENS CHOICE..." should be either 'it's her choice, or it's the woman's choice.

Sorry not sure how to use the italic function or underlining on this borrowed computer.
