  1. The U.S. and debt are so closely linked people just glaze over it when you mention its inevitable collapse. The numbers have been astronomical really since Reagan. What we have been waiting for is that Black Swan moment that will take it from conjecture to reality.

  2. We need to re-educate ourselves and our young folk as to fiscal responsibility. Put a hoe in their hand and build capital. In a depression wealth is built merely by one producing more than he consumes- doesn't matter what the goods or service, as long as it's needed.

  3. The American Sheeple, who watch the actors on their TV news everyday, believe things are going to get better and the economy is coming back. I have preached and preached to many of my friends and family, the dollar will collapse, as will the economy, and they refuse to listen, they don't know want to know the truth.

And don't forget to get your vaccination!

    See you at Camp FEMA!

  5. A few years ago, studying historical patterns, it became clear to us that America, and much of the "west" were falling into a financial/consumption pattern which always ends in collapse.

So we got completely out of debt, moved back to the old family farm, and started being more self-sustaining.

At this point, our only worry is violence. We can survive completely self-reliantly now long term if need be. But if things decend into a "Mad-Max" level of interaction, we are all screwed. No amount of firepower will keep you alive long term in such a situation.

And, I don't want to raise my children in an armed, paranoid, encampment.

So, I hope Americans can find the COURAGE to link hands and cooperate as this nation collapses. If its you against the world, the world WILL win eventually. The only long term survival strategy involves community, diverse assets and skills.

One thing for sure, it won't be boring!
