Student Education Loans To Be Nationalized

(CNSNews.com) – A bill currently before the Senate would empower the Obama administration to nationalize the student lending industry, eliminating the federally subsidized private loans millions of university students rely on to finance their educations.

The Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act – currently being considered by the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee – would eliminate the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) program. FFEL loans are federally subsidized and make up approximately 80 percent of the student lending industry.

  1. And this would lead to lower tuition; sounds like a great idea to me. 'Higher' education is inundated with charlatans and needs a purge; this is a good step in that direction.

  2. Lower tuition? Are you whacked? Nobody has any money to go to school so the streets will be filled with 80% more bums and criminals.

  3. And lower tuition would keep young couples just out of college, and thousands deep in debt from student loans, off HGTV "House Hunters" where they go off looking in Seattle for a half-million dollar townhouse to buy. (This was a true episode recently).

  4. HHmmmm seems like things ain't looking too good for Barry Obama right about now. I'm seeing so much strong anger with this administration all over the place, he has just about zero popular support now and doesn't seem to give a flying pudruck about the people.

    Americans love this "free" enterprise for business stuff.
    But most are now having trouble hitching a ride on the gravy trainand whining.
