Bankruptcy of U.S. is ‘Mathematical Certainty,’ Says Former CEO of Nation's 10th Largest Bank

John Allison, who for two decades served as chairman and CEO of BB&T, the nation's 10th largest bank, told CNSNews.com it is a “mathematical certainty” that the United States government will go bankrupt unless it dramatically changes its fiscal direction.
Allison likened what he sees as the predictable future bankruptcy of the United States to the problems at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, whose insolvency he also said was foreseeable to those who studied their business practices and financial situation.
“I think the first thing we have to realize is where we’re going and to face it objectively,” Allison told CNSNews.com, when asked about the trillion-dollar-plus deficits the federal government has run for three straight years, the more than $13 trillion in federal debt, and the $61.9 trillion long-term shortfall the government faces (according to the analysis of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation) if the government is to pay all the benefits it has promised through entitlement programs.

The Age Of The Dollar Is Drawing To A Close

  1. With the markets improving so rapidly, none of this will come to pass. Gold prices will tumble soon.

  2. Totally illogical 9:08. The markets go higher the more hyperinflation sets in. The dollar is collapsing. 50,000 Dow means the end of this world as we know it. Zimbabwe is the perfect example. Do research before you post stupid posts.

  5. 11:34,

It's okay. I hardly consider myself American. I'm not even 25, I never lived when America was America. The late 1700s, early 1800s, 1920s, and 1950s to the 1980s were the only real American periods. Outside of that it was mostly just huge government power grabs and people being manipulated to commit horrible actions.

The 90s made good music, outside of that the country just fell apart morally and socially. The last decade was the murdering of the USA. Can we come back to life and make a big comeback? I'm going to say no.

Logical reasoning is to understand how debauched we are as a people; obesity, ignorance, drugs, booze, sports (watching), television, indifference to violence, divorce rates, broken families, laziness, girls with damaged self esteem, boys without chivalry... all time highs for each! An economic armageddon is actually a solution, not a fear (for me).

My opinion is that we can't be fixed and social entropy is the only ride we'll be using as we undergo accelerated divergence until we finally reach chaos. To have a fantasy of an American revival or a great future in this country knowing the current reality is, realistically; superstitious, and as a result - without rationale.

The only salvation would be if there is a spiritual force in the universe. Modern physics has verified with the Schrodinger Equation of QM that indeed, there is a superconsciousness of some sort. Will it be able to interfere, or want to intervene on our behalf? What will the intervention look like or be like? How mystical could things get? Seems like uncertainty is growing in all areas of existence in this 'universe'.

This is like, really happening. What's whacky is how weird it is but how normal it feels. This is the strangest thing to ever happen to this planet as far as our official vision of history goes. But yet it feels normal. We're at the "end of history", we've reached the energetic quickening, and time is vanishing. But as children of the stars, and further back, Christ(s), we merge perfectly into it.

Reminds of life, you know how fucked up it is that you can start out with a religious dogma, then after so many years it vanishes. All the new knowledge you acquire is somehow normal. WTF? HAHA.

God is masturbating with us. That's the Gnosis. We're all just little orgasms in the Great Spirit.

    of quantum chances
    are stuck in my mind
    forever ....

This gnostic great spirit reality is the only one that proves the nonexistance of everybody elses reality but is the alternative reality ,the quantum proof of the chances of my own personal eternal great spririt allowing me to contemplate in thought my true eternal reality too!
