Oil: $200-$300 A Barrel

Oil prices could rocket to $200- $300 a barrel if the world's top crude exporter Saudi Arabia is hit by serious political unrest, former Saudi oil minister Sheikh Zaki Yamani told Reuters on Tuesday.
Yamani said he saw no immediate sign of further trouble following protests last month calling for political reforms but said that underlying discontent remained unresolved.
"If something happens in Saudi Arabia it will go to $200 to $300. I don't expect this for the time being, but who would have expected Tunisia?" Yamani told Reuters on the sidelines of a conference of the Centre for Global Energy Studies (CGES) which he chairs.

  1. Said it before many, many times - nobody listened then and nobody will listen now, but it's still true. Gasoline needs to go to 5 bucks and Diesel needs to go to 6 bucks.

It's the ONLY way this country will ever get SERIOUS about our OWN oil reserves and converting our autos to natural gas - we should have started this 20 years ago, but like our fiscal situation, we are absolutly unable to come together until a full fledged crisis arises

That crises is 300 dollar a barrel crude

  2. Oil could go up to $2,000 / barrel and Our Bozo in Chief will never be in favor of drilling. He is ok with drilling in Brazil as long as it makes his master George Soros lots of money.

Obama will never authorize drilling in this country no matter how much we need it.

  3. He will be forced to

This country is too vast for anything to function with Oil at 300 dollars a barrel

  4. Do your boots or your bicycle compete with gasoline at any price? Let me help: NO. Only comic book super heros have strength and power of a Geo Metro with a 9 gallon tank of gasoline.

Electric cars are a joke compared to a paid-for $1000 car that runs all day and refuels in 5 minutes (my 1983 MBZ 240D for example). It's all about ENERGY DENSITY and actual power sources. Actual power is generated by burning coal/NG/oil, or for the very fortunate, falling water from behind dams made at a cost of millions of barrels of Diesel fuel and dozens of human lives. Nuclear power is similarly cost front-loaded, with TEPCO surprises along the way when all design parameters are exceeded.

Electricity in batteries is a STORAGE medium, not a generation of new power. Sure, there's solar, but it's big and slow, with a very high cost per KW to charge car or house batteries. Nice for a trickle charge, but serious high-rate charging is done with rotating machinery. In the Pacific NW, solar insolation during the 3 dark months is between ZERO and 20% of the unimpressive summer peak. How many acres (Hectares for France) of solar panels does it take to make charging current when multiplying by ZERO? Fuel cell? Sounds good, quiet, with co-gen but it needs fuel: Propane, NG, or most-expensive and dangerous hydrogen.

When a gallon of Diesel fuel is $20 or $50, the Dollar is long-done. Betcha a silver 1964 fUSA Quarter buys 2 gallons, still. Silver 1964 coin is 29X face value now, but 200X is not unreasonable when the FRB has printed unlimited currency to pay the Takers and the Bankers. Even CNN/CNBC agrees with me, so time is tight or past.

    Cheers.

    Just so.
There is money to be gotright now !

You have hit the nail on the head .

Obama will do as he is told by Soros ,Rockefeller and Co to use up the oil reserves of the rest of the world first, for as long as The military and the local bribed puppet elites says it can .

These US oil and gas reserves are the long term strategic, ‘greencover camouflaged”, economic and military storage reserves of the USA.

Leave Obama alone he is bombing Libya right now to install a more friendly regime in Libya in order to ensure even cheaper access for the USA to foreign cheap oil.

What more could a ‘right wing” American first person ask for ?
