Debt an economic disaster of biblical proportions

By Jordan Sekulow

To use the terminology the Obama administration is using as they push for a debt ceiling increase, the United States is headed for an economic “disaster of biblical proportions.”

The administration says that if Congress does not raise the debt ceiling by August 2nd, there will be “catastrophic economic and market consequences.” At the recent Twitter town hall, President Obama compared the mainstream conservative position on the debt ceiling negotiations to “a gun against the heads” of Americans.

As I recently wrote in a post for On Faith, our nation’s current debt crisis is a moral problem, and it is important to examine how we got in this situation so we can determine how to get out of it.

  1. Right Wing Rag BS to Protect the Rich once again, on the backs of the poor, who cant wipe their ass, and the middle class who are on their last square of Toilet Paper. The rich are not spending, Hotel rooms in Vegas are dirt cheap, tells you how bad things really are.

  2. As if we weren't in bad enough shape already, let's get some people who believe in Santa Claus, or whatever fictious being of your choice. These problems are real and should be dealt with by people who know right from wrong because of what their brain tells them, not from the maker of the talking snake.

  3. I have to agree with 1:10 PM
He is correct in that those with money are hoarding it.
The poor are getting poorer, (if that is even possible). And the middle class are holding onto their last piece of toilet paper!

While the rich are waiting for the republicans to come to their aide in 2012 in a Hollywood style rescue.
Well then if that's what you believe will happen in 2012, then Here's a news flash!

There will be no rescue of the rich. Get out now the same way they fled Cuba.
The rich will be dragged into the streets and whipped by angry mobs, held up by all to see what selfish, arrogant, people they really are.

Their bank accounts will be seized and forcibly distributed amongst the poor.

God allows these things to happen because people are unwilling to share their blessings fairly.
This is what it takes to redistribute the wealth.
It is only a matter of time before we see this happen.

  5. Obama said this: At the recent Twitter town hall, President Obama compared the mainstream conservative position on the debt ceiling negotiations to “a gun against the heads” of Americans. What a whiner! He is so wrong also. Can you imagine someone with a maxed out credit card, telling them that because they won't increase his credit limit, that they are "putting a gun to my head." Oh bullshit, you immature spend-aholic!

Our government needs to QUIT SPENDING MONEY LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW. Maybe the best thing that could happen is for America to NOT increase the debt ceiling. America is enslaving the world, all on borrowed money/credit. We need to put a stop to this monster, once and for all!
